Gender equality means the termination of hierarchical relations that we encounter in every layer of society and built on gender differences, and the transformation of the socialization mechanisms of these relations, values and institutions that lead to power differences.

With the republican revolutions, the ground for gender equality was laid in 1923, and women's citizenship rights and the consciousness of being an individual have just begun to sprout in society. Equality between men and women has gone through a period of regression and has recently been protected by new constitutions and laws.

Wherever you live, gender equality is a fundamental human right. It means a healthy for boys and girls, including promoting gender equality, reducing poverty and promoting health, education, protection and well-being.

Parents should raise their children sensitive to gender equality: They should be taught to distinguish between biological sex and gender identities, and socialize their children in line with human rights. Self-worth perception should be developed in girls and the concept of limit should be adopted.

Gender discrimination is closely related to inequality in accessing resources and opportunities, violence, inability to benefit from basic services, limited participation of women in working life and politics, and power imbalance in personal relations between women and men.

The struggle to attain global gender equality has been a centuries-long battle. Although the world has significantly progressed in women’s advancement and its goal of gender equality, women and girls disproportionately suffer from discrimination and violence. These injustices do, however, have a chance to be corrected through these five ways to fight gender inequality.

How to prevent gender inequality?

1-Give girls access to education. ...

2-Give women platforms to be in power and achieve economic success. ...

3-End violence and sexual assault against women. ...

4-Assure girls and women have access to menstrual health facilities. ...

End child marriage.

Girls and boys see gender inequality in their homes and communities every day – in textbooks, in the media and among the adults who care for them. Parents may assume unequal responsibility for household work, with mothers bearing the brunt of caregiving and chores. The majority of low-skilled and underpaid community health workers who attend to children are also women, with limited opportunity for professional growth.

On a global scale, achieving gender equality also requires eliminating harmful practices against women and girls, including, femicide, wartime sexual violence, gender wage gap, and other oppression tactics. UNFPA stated that, "despite many international agreements affirming their human rights, women are still much more likely than men to be poor and illiterate. They have less access to property ownership, credit, training and employment. This partly stems from the archaic stereotypes of women being labelled as child-bearers and home makers, rather than the bread winners of the family. They are far less likely than men to be politically active and far more likely to be victims of domestic violence." The full and effective participation of women in decision-making at all levels in political, economic and public life and equal opportunities for leadership should be ensured. Globally, 750 million women and girls were married before the age of 18. One in five women and girls, including 19 per cent of women and girls aged 15 to 49, have experienced physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner within the last 12 months.

Yet, 49 countries have no laws that specifically protect women from such violence. In 46 countries, women now hold more than 30 per cent of seats in national parliament in at least one chamber.Only 52 per cent of women married or in a union freely make their own decisions about sexual relations, contraceptive use and health care.As we have seen in these reasons, gender equality cannot be achieved. For these reasons, we must now focus on this issue and eliminate this problem.

Science is one of the fields where gender equality is still not achieved. Emilie Marcus, editor-in-chief of "Cell", one of the respected science journals, told DW about his views on this subject.
Deutsche Welle: Why do you think gender equality in science is so important?
Emilie Marcus: Science itself shows that different perspectives and perspectives will move us forward. These spark new ideas. Instead of acting like this, it is difficult to progress if you limit it, make do with the
familiar, ignore the diversity.
That's why it's important to mix in science and other fields, to considered multiple ideas and perspectives. One dimension of diversity is ensuring gender equality between women and men in research and development
(R&D) activities. There are other aspects to consider as well. But mixed teams achieve better results because they approach issues differently. Are there areas where scientific research cannot be done because there are not enough female experts?
Marcus: Since the number of women in R&D is low, I think certain perspectives are not taken into account. Of course, I don't know if these issues are truly unique. However, current gender research reveals that
all-female research groups tend to gravitate towards different topics than male-only or mixed teams.
There is evidence that women are turning to issues that have never been addressed. When you approach the subject more comprehensively, we believe that it would be better for women to express their perspectives in mixed teams.
